Anne Matalonis

Anne Matalonis, Author

Anne Matalonis describes herself as a woman with many different roles. Her first and most important role involves her family. She has a husband of 22 years and two children, 14 and 8. Her second role is a 23 year career in sales and marketing. Currently, Anne works as the Team Banking Director for The National Bank & Trust Company in Sycamore, Illinois. Herr third and most recent role is children's book author and publisher of The Fox Behind the Chatterbox, a cautionary tale about internet safety.

After attending an internet safety seminar, Anne Matalonis was determined to help protect children from the dangers associated with online communication and internet predators. Through this passion and much research on the subject, she created a book that would help teach internet safety to elementary age students. The Fox Behind the Chatterbox, a cautionary tale about internet safety, provides children with the ability to relate to the sensitive subject matter through a fable-like story featuring animal characters. Along with the book, Anne developed a complementary program for schools, community organizations and social groups called Don't Be Outfoxed Online!™ Anne has presented at numerous schools and community and social organizations and is extremely excited and honored to present at the 2011 Illinois Association of School Social Workers Conference.

In addition to being a mother, author and presenter, Anne's professional career involves a 13 year banking career with The National Bank & Trust Company in Sycamore, Illinois where she has developed and implemented numerous training and development programs for employees as well as The American Bankers Association Marketing Conference.

Anne is committed to helping children not only through her book and presentation, but through community organizations such as Children's Advocacy Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, DeKalb County Senior Centers, Midwest Museum of Natural History, and Children's Community Theatre.

Anne invites you to contact her regarding book reviews, purchases, presentations and conversations about keeping our children safe.
